AWEE
offers personalized support programs and services that have proven to
be effective, efficient and life-transforming. We’ll help you
assess your skills, interests and talents and match them to a career
with good earnings and growth potential. We’ll also ensure you
get the training you need, along with the basic math, communications
and office skills required in today’s modern workplace.
We’ll help build
your confidence with workshops on money management, business
communications, parenting and other topics, many offering college
credit. We’ll smooth your way by providing childcare services,
transportation vouchers and counseling to deal with life challenges
such as drug abuse, poverty and domestic violence. We’ll help you
find a good job and support you for a full year afterwards to ensure
your success.
From start to finish, we’ll provide the personal encouragement
and support you need to overcome every obstacle and achieve your most
cherished goals for yourself and your family. Our services include:

- Information and referrals for childcare and transportation assistance
- Access to our gently-used Career Clothing Boutique
- Job search and placement assistance
- Continued support and guidance for a full year after starting a new job

- Life and family workshops and seminars on topics such as:
- Managing your finances
- Saving for – and buying – a home
- Effective parenting techniques
- Managing stress at work
- Customized support services for individuals
facing special challenges, such as domestic violence, the loss of a
spouse and other issues
- Comprehensive and proven prisoner reentry programs that change lives
- Choices for Changed Lives program specifically designed for the needs of younger ex-offenders
- Paths to Living Free program to help all ex-felons find good jobs and change their lives
