Weekly Job Club to Launch in Prescott!

Afternoon Event Offers Job-Seekers Opportunity to Share Job Search
Experiences, Refresh Job Search Skills, Network for Job Leads and
Develop Support Network
WHAT: Weekly Job Club at AWEE. Everyone
who’s looking for a new job or simply interested in expanding
their support network is invited to join a new “Job Club”
held every Monday afternoon at Arizona Women’s Education &
Employment’s (AWEE) Prescott office. The free networking event
will offer job-seekers an opportunity to share job search experiences,
network to find new job leads, refresh job search skills, connect to
the community and develop a support network. “Experience shows
that job seekers who participate in job clubs find employment quicker
and more effectively than those who search on their own.”
WHEN/WHERE: Every Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Free. At AWEE office on 805 Whipple Street, Suite C, in Prescott.
WHO: Established in 1986, AWEE in Yavapai County provides men and women
of all demographic backgrounds with a broad range of services including
one-on-one career coaching; post-employment follow-up support;
workshops spotlighting financial literacy, career choices and
preparation; resources including a women’s professional clothing
closet, computers, fax and copier services; and ongoing connections to
a variety of community resources. Orientations for new participants are
held every Wednesday at 10 am.
AWEE Prescott’s success in
connecting job seekers and employers has yielded demonstrable results,
including a 308% increase in earnings at program enrollment and
82% employment retention after six months, with average wages
